THIRD AGE PLAYERS is a community theater group made up of people between the ages of 68 and 84 and is based in Saugerties, NY.
Through the creative process of improvisation we have created a play that shares our life experiences with the audience. We explore universal themes related to aging that people can identify with so our voices become their voices.
Although our older years often come with age-imposed physical, emotional, and cognitive limitations, they can also be a time of profound inner growth, renewed vitality, and ripening insights. THIRD AGE PLAYERS hopes to transform attitudes about aging from an image of decline to one of renewal, fulfillment, and potential.
We offer a theatrical experience traversing the universal themes of aging and time, performed by an ensemble of elders.
It is never too late to harvest the energies within us, to awaken dormant dreams,
and to find purpose and meaning in our lives.
